On Friday, October 25, we had our Fall overnight boy's camp. The boy's had a great time camping, playing outside and enjoying a day on the water.
Friday night, we kicked off camp with some field games, dinner provided by Fort Johnson Baptist Church, s'mores by the campfire and then some night time games of gaga ball and the ninja course.
Needless to say, the boys definitely were not wanting to sit around the campfire for very long. Once the s'mores were finished, it was off to the races for more games!
We were gifted a gaga ball pit and this was for sure a hit during camp. The boys spent hours playing gaga ball.
At some point late in the night, we were able to get the kids to go to sleep in the tent. It was a beautiful night for camping with perfect clear, cool weather.
On Saturday, after a good, hearty camping breakfast of pancakes and sausage, we went out on the water with Cornerstone Charter and Captain Jay. We cruised through the Charleston Harbor and got some up close views of some beautiful yachts that were docked downtown.
After cruising the harbor, we spent time hunting for shark teeth on Drum Island. The boys were great shark tooth hunters and left with handfuls of shark teeth! They enjoyed the experience on the water and on the beach.
To finish off the boat day, the boys each got a turn driving the boat with Captain Jay. They loved the experience!
We returned to camp for more games (these boys would not sit still for long!), and some of the boys even took a quick swim in the frigid pool water.
This camp was one of the best yet. The boys had a great time and we were blessed with another day with Captain Jay. It is such a gift to get out on the water with these kids. Thank you, Captain Jay!
This camp concludes our 2024 camp season, full of so many good memories. Nothing brings us more joy than to see the kids at camp having fun, exploring the woods, and playing games.
Thank you all for your support! We look forward to our 2025 Camp season, dates will be announced in January.
